Jay rejoined StormHarbour in Feb 2023 to further develop the family office division and business of StormHarbour.
Jay was last the Asset Management Chief Business Officer at China Goldlink Capital Limited from May 2021 to April 2022. Jay was in charge of new products development, business development in different types of fund platforms. He also participated in private equity Pre-IPO, private credits & first mortgages transactions. Prior to that Jay was the Managing Director at Cachet Asset Management Limited from September 2020 to February 2021
Jay was the Director at Venture Smart Asia Limited from August 2018 to September 2020 where he was responsible for the origination and sales in venture capital, private equity, structure products, M&A and alternative investments including Crypto currency, alternative meat (plant based) and AI projects. Real estate investments in Hong Kong, South East Asia, USA and Europe was his main focus.
From November 2016 to August 2018, Jay was the Director of Investor Coverage at StormHarbour. His responsibilities back then was sales and origination of capital raising, advisory and corporate finance mandates, including but not limited to structured loans, straight loans, high yield and structured bonds, convertibles and exchangeable, for corporates, listed companies and financial institutions in Hong Kong and China.
Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President at ABC International Asset Management in charge of cross-border business and product development with China. Jay also worked at China Securities (International) Asset Management Company and HFT Investment Management (HK) Limited from 2011 to 2015, and was mainly responsible for RQFII/QFII, QDII, Chinese PE, Hong Kong Pre IPO investments with various Chinese fund houses, brokerage and investment banks. He started his investment banking career in 2007 working for Shenyin Wanguo Securities (H.K.) Ltd. for 3 years.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Business in Economics and Finance from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia).
