Ren Guohua joined StormHarbour in Oct 2019 as a Senior Advisor. Ren has over 40 years of banking and capital markets experience with leading international and regional financial institutions. Most recently, Ren was Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets China, with Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong where he headed the team on numerous noteworthy debt capital market and syndication deals. Prior to Standard Chartered, Ren has held various senior capital market roles with foreign institutions such as Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Fleet Boston Financial, and Bear Stearns & Co. Ren began his career with Bank of China where he has over 10 years of banking experience and was chief dealer in charge of foreign exchange and treasury in Hong Kong. Ren has an extensive background in corporate finance, originations and sales, fixed income, equity-linked, and credit-linked instruments, foreign exchange, money market and derivative products, and structured finance. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Ren has a degree from East China Normal University.
