With over 30 years of experience in managing global financial institutions and providing advisory services to supranational and sovereign agencies, NGOs and social enterprises, Dr Ilex Lam joined StormHarbour as Senior Advisor since Aug 2022.
Ilex was previously Head of Credit Suisse Asset Management-Asia, Regional Director of Janus Capital Group and CEO of BEA Union Investment in HK.
Since 2012, Ilex has applied impact investment philosophy to unleash neglected productivity of underprivileged communities with “risk and impact adjusted return” profile. His impact model was exemplified in “Innovation that Unlock the Resources of Business for the Common Good” (ACSEP of NUS 2017). He has contributed to the publications of “The Essence and Measurement of Organizational Efficiency/ Efficiency is the Source of Wealth of Nation” (Springer 2015) and “Sustainable Investment – Impact in Asia” (AAM and UNDP 2020). Ilex was appointed by UNDP as Senior Advisor to SDGs Impact/Innovative Finance (UNSIF), the initiative to mobilize capital flow for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2017.
Ilex received his DBA from UBI, Belgium, MBA from University of Warwick, Postgraduate Diploma of Financial Economics from University of London and completed the Senior Executive Program by Harvard Business School and the Financial Engineering Graduate Program by Stanford University.
